KEEGAN KNOLL

Keegan received his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed his massage therapy studies at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in Laguna Hills, CA. Keegan believes that strength and conditioning and massage therapy go hand in hand. When there are soft tissue imbalances in the body, it is impossible to work to your full potential, and the combination of strength enhancement and soft tissue massage help remedy these limitations.  Keegan’s background stems from his experience working with the Illinois men’s and women’s basketball programs for 4 years.  Keegan’s dedication to learning and growing in the field has given him numerous opportunities since leaving Illinois including working with Athletes’ Performance – LA and assisting the Strength and Conditioning staff at the University of Illinois – Chicago.  Keegan has worked with athletes at every level including high school, college, amateur, and professional athletes including MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, USA rugby, and numerous European professional athletes (soccer, basketball, rugby). He currently is a Strength and Conditioning Coach and therapist for the Long Beach State baseball program.

Keegan has a passion for massage therapy and strength and conditioning, and has a continuous desire to research and use the most current techniques in the field.  Keegan is a Certified Massage Practitioner and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He also is certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.  He uses numerous initial assessments and continues to assess each athlete and patient on a regular basis in order to ensure each athlete is functioning effectively and efficiently.  He utilizes numerous massage techniques including Advanced Circulatory Sports Therapy, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, and myoskeletal alignment to name a few. He integrates corrective exercise with his patients in order to help them continue to make progress following each session.
